The essentials
Start here.
Your well-being belongs in the plan from day one. Start with a few practical habits you can carry into every collaboration.
Define what works for you
Write down your boundaries, the conditions you need to work comfortably, and what would make you pause. You do not need to justify a boundary for it to count.
Have the conversation early
Discuss the proposed work, who will be present, compensation, recording, editing, and distribution before agreeing to a shoot. Leave time for questions and put shared expectations in writing.
Make a plan for the day
Agree on breaks, a clear way to stop, and who to contact if something goes wrong. Confirm transport, access to food and water, and a private place to change.
Make room for afterwards
Allow time to rest and check in with yourself. Review what worked, what felt uncomfortable, and what you want to change before your next collaboration.
